Acting Out Mother’s Distressed Behavior during Pregnancy

Sarah, a young woman who had been adopted at birth, used marijuana heavily to deal with stress. She had never met her biological mother and had no information about her. In her Karmic Therapy sessions she recalled her teenage unwed mother using marijuana to relieve fear and loneliness during a solitary pregnancy spent in a squalid rooming house. After releasing the charge around her mother’s painful experience, Sarah’s use of marijuana declined and became less compulsive.
