Previous Lives and Karmic Lessons

Sally, a young woman who was attempting to free herself from a dysfunctional love relationship in the present, uncovered a past life as a farmer’s widow. Her lover, a hired man on the farm (a previous incarnation of her present boyfriend) had raped and murdered her after setting fire to her house and forcing her to watch helplessly as her young children burned to death. Much of Sally’s anguish in the session had to do with pain and guilt over the death of her children. After leaving her physical body, she found herself reunited with the children after death. To Sally’s surprise, her children were laughing and cheerful, simply happy to see her. They seemed not the least bit disturbed over the manner of their dying. When Sally inquired about this, one of her daughters replied, “Oh, Mother, it’s okay, you just had something to learn about how to deal with men.” This interim experience helped Sally to dissolve a heavy burden of pervasive guilt in her present life.
