The Flux between Past and Present in Karmic Therapy
By Stephen Proskauer MD | January 27, 2010
An aspect of Sheila’s session that is typical of the Karmic Therapy process was the free flow back and forth between present-day issues and past feelings. In this instance, Sheila began with feelings of anger and betrayal toward her lover, then focused on similar feelings about her father. From time to time during the session she noticed the similarity between the feelings about her father and the current emotions toward her lover.
This movement back and forth between past and present allows the work to be integrated into current life step by step as it goes along. Since this method of dissolving karmic blocks does not involve inducing a deep trance state, the patient is awake and alert and can make insightful connections as the session proceeds.
